So this one's about my Childhood Cartoons. These cartoons were with me as I was growing up. These cartoons reflect me as I am today. Let's look at them once again and reminisce the memories of our childhood well spent in front of the telly.
NUMBER 5: TOM AND JERRY
First aired during the 40's; this set the stereotype of a cat and mouse rivalry. With intense chases and funny antics, these two completed my afternoon/night relaxation in front of the TV in my room! Always looked forward to getting home from school because of these guys! Although I only watch the replays of the Morning's Episode because of school, it's still fine. But during my sick days, I have the luxury of watching them twice! I don't care if the episode just repeats, I just want to watch them again!
For me, the best Tom & Jerry were the old ones.
VS
I'll always pick the original Tom and Jerry series over the new one, EVERY TIME. ALWAYS.
NUMBER 4: LOONEY TUNES
This is hardcore cartoons we have over here! Being around for like, FOREVER, this cartoon really made my childhood's TV viewing a VERY NOSTALGIC one.
The Looney Tunes Universe has a lot of characters since the day it first aired. But my favorite ones are the most frequently shown characters like: Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer, Porky Pig, etc.
Just like Tom and Jerry, the Looney Tunes series has been remade. And just like Tom and Jerry, I'll always pick the original over the remake, ALWAYS.
NUMBER 3: ROCKET POWER
This got me skateboarding! *Sigh* Those were the days that I was thin and loved extreme sports. But when I fell from my board and broke my arm, I became blog-writing computer nerdy fat guy.
Well said, Tito. Well said.
Anyway, this cartoon revolves around these 4 kids, Otto, Reggie, Twister, and Sam, and their life of extreme sports. And oh, Otto and Reggie has the surname of "Rocket"! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! I really miss the good 'ol skateboarding days!
NUMBER 2: COW AND CHICKEN
This cartoon made my childhood subconscious mind go "What..The..Fuck" It's simply crazy! First off, a Chicken has a baby Cow sister. Second off, they have human parents that's made of lower half-bodies of typical American parents. Third off, they have an enemy called "The Red Guy" that's literally red and naked. This cartoon made me laugh before bed time.
We are down to my Number 1. This cartoon really influenced me as I got older. Sometimes I reference lines from this one whenever me and my friends have a conversation.
NUMBER 1: THE SIMPSONS
This cartoon really made my childhood complete. Even though it's an adult-oriented cartoon, I understood most of the lines and the flow of an episode. But some of them were left unsolved until I got older. I get all of the jokes and gags of this cartoons now then ever before. But this had a very nostalgic effect on my childhood. I even named my e-mail address after Bart. Even though I don't watch this more frequently than before, this cartoon will always have a place in my Childhood Memories.
These kinds of cartoons made a significant patch in our childhood memories. As we go older, we would always keep them in our hearts. You? What's your favorite cartoon from your childhood?
