Admit it. Nowadays, watching a movie is considered a very relaxing pass time whether by yourself or with company. Some of us may have different kinds of tastes for movies. We may love a heart-warming comedy, a tearjerker drama, a chilling horror flick, or a adrenaline-pumping action scene. For me, I love
ALL of these. It would be a dream come true if someone would come up with a
GREAT movie that would have all these elements infused together and with the best actors around. Or if we had it our way, let all the great actors in it. Even the ones that are not with us anymore be awaken and become a part of the greatest movie ever. Sadly, this is a very hard thing to do. But we have great movies that come around. From CLASSICS that molded us into what we are now, to the NEW movies that we continue to learn from as we grow.
Here are my top 5 of those movies:
NUMBER
5 :
SHAOLIN SOCCER
For me, this is the best Kung Fu Comedy Movie that I've ever watched. Directed and Starred by the Great Stephen Chow, this movie will have you kicking and laughing! Synopsis is that Sing (Chow), a former Shaolin Monk, invites his 5 Shaolin Brothers to play some soccer using their Kung Fu Abilities.
With the help of Fung (Played by Ng Man Tat), their coach and former star player A.K.A. Golden Leg, they take on all the challenges and beat the odds on their way to fame and glory.
I wouldn't want to spoil the film to you guys if you haven't watched it yet. I really recommend this movie to all ages! But, for the little kids, have your parents watch it with you. There can be some PG-material in this but it's very little. I guarantee a kicking quality family time!

NUMBER 4 : AMERICAN PIE SERIES
This teen comedy series had me very curious about "The Birds and The Bees" when I was younger. Showed during 1999 (I was 7 years old then but I didn't watch this till I was in my 1st year in high school. I SWEAR!), this movie made a lot of teens curious like me. A very sexual film, it offers life lessons as well. As for example: Don't be an a-hole around other girls. But sometimes, girls like a-holes. Got you confused, but it would make you think that girls are not all the same. There are feisty ones and discrete ones. But sometimes, the discrete ones are gonna be the ones that will surprise you the most! Anyway, this movie made it into three (3) movies in the duration of 1999-2003, namely:
American Pie (The First Movie, 1999); *pic above*
American Pie 2 (The Second Movie DUH?!, 2001);
and the
American Wedding A.K.A. American Pie: The Wedding (The third DOUBLE DUH?!, 2003)
The first movie was about young Jim Levenstein (Jason Biggs) struggling to get his, and his circle of friends, sexual urges out of their systems and not be virgins anymore. That's the ultimate goal of a lot teenagers nowadays. Sad but true.
The second one was about the now college level Jim and friends and having the best summer party ever! But this movie got a little bit more romantic!
The third one was about the now graduated Jim and friends and Jim marrying his second movie Girlfriend, Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), and how Stifler (Seann William Scott) came out from the most hated guy, to the greatest wing man ever!
After those three Movies, the series had 4 official spin-offs. Although those movies didn't star most of the characters of the previous 3 movies, some of the characters in the spin-off are related to the characters in the previous three. I mean, every movie had a Stifler. Although not the Sean William Scott-kind of Stifler, most of them resemble how the original Stifler acts. Except for two spin-offs that a well-mannered Sitfler was introduced.
After the long-running spin-offs, the sequel to the previous three is about to be released, entitled: American Reunion A.K.A. American Pie: The Reunion. This stars all of the original casts of the previous three. From Jason Biggs, to "Harold and Kumar"'s, John Cho as the MILF Guy #1. This movies is set to be released this year (2012) and I'm VERY EXCITED! It's about damn time! See you at the cinemas when this one's showing.

NUMBER
3 :
THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY
This movie is my definition of "EPIC"! With three super bad-ass movies, this kept me busy during the my summers in High School (Oh how I miss a good summer vacation. You know? The one without the DAMN SUMMER CLASSES!) This was so epic, I really thought in my head that this was a true to life story. And now you are laughing the piss out of you, but that is true. I, Jeremy Paul de Guzman, thought that The Lord of The Rings was a true story, bro. The trilogy is composed of:
1. The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
2. The Two Towers (2002)
3. The Return of the King (2003)
This movie is too epic for me to write a synopsis for it! (And I'm just too lazy and shit. I mean c'mon, these movies are super duper long) But I will tell you something about it using my own words! *ehem*
Once there was a dark lord named Sauron who was high as fuck and attempted to conquer Middle-Earth with a Ring. The elves and men were like "Shit just got serious, bros!" and they were like *clang* and blood and shit everywhere! After the blood-orgy, Bad Ass Prince Isildur cuts off Saurons sorry-ass finger with the ring on it. Cause Sauron liked it so he put a ring on it. Then after this, all shit broke lose and the Orcs got ape-shit and poofed to thin air. The Elves and Men were like, "Fuck yeah" while the orcs were like "Ok - POOF!" But the ring has Sauron's shit all over it and made it all evil and stuff. Isildur was corrupted by the ring and refused to destroy the piece of shit. But he was killed by f*cking orcs and the ring fell in to the river for like 2500 years. But the ring was found by another High as fuck individual named Gollum. The shit made him crazy and made him live for like centuries and shit. But he lost the ring again coz he stupid and the ring was found by Bilbo Baggins. The story starts here when Bilbo gave the piece of shit to Frodo. This became the center of their quest. To destroy this one ring and live happily ever after and shit.
Anyway, this movie is a must watch. Just give it a lot of time and you'll be puking rainbows on how awesome it is.

NUMBER
2 :
THE STAR WARS SERIES
If you're a fan of Sci-Fi Epicness, then this movie is for you! This movie became a worthy classic since the day it was released. I clearly cannot say anything about this film now. All I know is that this is a classic and I wouldn't want to tell you anything not coming from my own train of thought. The power of the internet! It is great! You could just google what you want to know about this set of masterpieces created by The Great George Lucas. A very epic film that has a lot to offer.
And here we are now, my top 1 most favorite movie of all time. I wouldn't want to keep you waiting, so here it is:
NUMBER 1: BACK TO THE FUTURE SERIES
Nothing interests me more than the thought of time travel! Is it ever possible? If it is, what should I do when I ever turn back time or go to the future? What will I ever do if this power was in the palm of my hand? All these questions, they excite me! That's why while watching this sci-fi adventure film, I was excited as hell. This series never gets old. It's like I could survive a zombie apocalypse with this playing in my DVD player. Just an epic piece of art. Every single one of the series' movies were very good. They never disappoint. Unlike other failed sequels to great movies, this one got you more excited for another movie to come out. It was that good!
The trilogy is composed of:
1. Back to the Future
2. Back to the Future Part II
3. Back to the Future Part III
The story revolves around Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Dr. Emmet Brown (Christopher Loyd) and their time travelling adventures.
The first movie, set in 1985, focuses on how Dr. Emmet Brown discovered a way to time travel with a DeLorean and the help of Plutonium that powered the flux capacitor's thirst for 1.21 Gigawatts of power. However, a tragic turn of events that took the life of the Dr. Emmet caused by Libyans gunning him down because he stole some plutonium from them, sent Marty to the year 1955 out of panic. This was the beginning of his quest to find the alive-version (Dat Term) of Dr. Emmet and help him get back to the future (1985) and save the doctor from his impending demise. Along the way, he meets a lot of familiar faces.
The second movie, started-off with where the first movie ended, focuses on Marty's quest to fix his ruined family that he saw in the year 2015. Upon readying himself to fixing the problem, Marty decided to bring home a piece of the future with him, a sports almanac worth 50 years of sporting outcomes. But Dr. Emmet stops him and continued on with their original intentions. However, the aged Biff Tannen finds the almanac, hijacked the DeLorean while Marty and Doc were at their business. Biff traveled to the years he was young and gave the almanac to his younger self. Upon returning the DeLorean, Doc and Marty did not notice that Biff hijacked the Time Machine and went back to their original time. After returning to the present 1985, all seems not right. And this was the outcome of the Sports Almanac that Old Biff gave to Young Biff. This starts the real quest of Marty on fixing the problem. Time Travel Style.
The third movie, Marty was told that Doc was stuck in the year 1885. Upon knowing this, he sought the help of 1955 Doc to fix the DeLorean that has been in a cave for 70 years or so. They fixed the DeLorean and Marty quickly got to 1885 and met his ancestors first. After a while, Doc and Marty met up. Marty told Doc that he will get shot and killed in that year and they deviced a plan to escape the fate. This became the focus of their quest but, as you all may know, nothing becomes that simple if Love is involved. Yes, Doc fell in-love with a woman from that time named, Clara Clayton. Doc has now the dilemma of sticking around 1885 or coming with Marty to 1985.
So intense huh? I really recommend this movie to all ages! Especially if the whole family's watching.
Those are my Top 5 Movies. Thanks for reading. Sorry if there wuz bad grammarzzz.
